In a change from our usual social evenings, we do have guests visit from time to time.
Equation
In early February, we had a visit from the Equation team. Equation are a Nottingham-based specialist charity, who work with the whole community to reduce the impact of domestic abuse, sexual violence and gender inequality. They provide help & support to anyone and everyone in Nottinghamshire, and they have a dedicated team to help LQBTQIA+ people as well. Full details are on their website.
Suzanne Suthers – Image Consultant
For our second meeting of the month, we were joined by Suzanne Suthers, an image consultant. Suzanne was kind enough to run through Colour Theory with the group, and cover ideas & suggestions, so we can all look out best. The Colour Theory included a hands-on consultation, in which the group got to know which shades worked best of them, and how to avoid the ones that don’t help us make the most of who we are.
As well as offering style & Colour Theory consultation, Suzanne works with all customers – cis & trans – providing actionable and inclusive ideas to help people find their personal style. Full details can be found on her web site, here.

those colours ,I was a bit nervous to be a model but at least I got the ball rolling and everyone had a go.
I really enjoyed the talk and found it both interesting and informative. I was very hesitant about being a model but S kept nagging at me. 😂. I am pleased I had a go. A big thank you to Suzanne.

I was aware of colour wheels when I was involved in the photography industry but had not really considered its effect on personal items, right down to jewellery, makeup, hair etc.
I really liked Suzanne’s approach to the subject as she evidently knows her stuff and explains it very cleverly and succinctly. I can see me booking a session with her.
I think all of us who ‘modelled’ felt nervous as suddenly the whole room is focussed on you alone, but it was fun, and useful, to do.
