Welcome to the online forum for Nottingham Chameleons. We're a social & support group for trans* people, their partners and/or family. We welcome trans* people from all over the East Midlands.

How to set up an account


In order to view the contents of this forum, you will need to follow these steps:


  • Begin by registering for an account. You should see the word Register at the top right of the menu bar. Alternatively try this link.

  • You will need to supply an email address, as the forum will send you an activation link (see below)

  • Your password must contain a mix of uppercase and lowercase characters as well as numbers

  • You will be asked a question to prove you are not a spammer. Please read the question carefully 🙂

  • Please contact the team using this form to request account activation. We apologise for this extra step and are grateful for your patience in helping protect the forum.

  • When your account is activated, the forum will email you. Please check your email and click the link to active your forum account. We recommend you check your spam filters, just in case! 🙂


Please note, if you are concerned about your registration being found, by say family or work colleagues, we recommend you set up a separate email address, just for your trans identity. Gmail, Hotmail, Outlook or Yahoo all offer free accounts.


Remember! You must contact the team to activate your account.

We will not use your email address, name, or other details for marketing purposes. Any messages sent from the forum can include:

  • activation code so you can log on.
  • password reset information if you request this.
  • alerts on topics you've subscribed to.
  • messages from forum members.
  • email from other forum members if you have not hidden your address.

Please ensure you are using a valid email address as it is required to receive your activation codes and password resets.


You can delete your account at any time using the self-service option in the forum. Should you want to have all data removed regarding your forum account, please use the Contact Form on the website. We will need confirmation of the email address you signed up with, your username, and a personal message from the forum software to prove you are the account owner. Once that's done, we can delete all of your data from the system.
