Nottingham Chameleons

These rules are disclosed to clarify the various responsibilities of all community members here on Nottingham Chameleons. They shall be adhered to by everyone to ensure that our board runs smoothly and provides a fun and productive experience for all of our community members and visitors.

1. Community Forum

   1. Age
      
      I confirm that I am at least 18 years old. #
   2. Respect
      
      I agree to treat forum members with respect. #
   3. Consequences
      
      I understand if I break the forum rules – including posting illegal content (see Online Safety Act, below), that my account may be disabled and/or blocked. Illegal activity will be reported to the necessary authorities. #
   4. Online Safety Act
      
      I confirm that I will not post anything that constitutes an offence under the UK Online Safety Act 2023*. This includes (but is not limited to): encouraging or assisting serious self-harm; cyberflashing; sending false information intended to cause non-trivial harm; threatening communications; intimate image abuse; epilepsy trolling; child sexual abuse; controlling or coercive behaviour; extreme sexual violence; extreme pornography; fraud; racially or religiously aggravated public order offences; inciting violence; illegal immigration and people smuggling; promoting or facilitating suicide; intimate image abuse; selling illegal drugs or weapons; sexual exploitation or terrorism)  #
   5. Language
      
      I confirm that I will not use hate speech or post images or links to such content (slurs, discrimination, racism, homophobia, transphobia, etc). #
   6. Email
      
      I understand Nottingham Chameleons will only use my email address for the purposes of replying to my message and to allow me to log into the forum.
      
      I understand that a moderator/administrator will use my email address to contact me in the event of activation, a concern, or resolving a request.
      
      I confirm that:
      • if the email address supplied is my personal email address, it is valid.
      • if the email address supplised is that from an organisation, it is valid and I have permission to use it.

   7. Behaviour
      
      If my message and/or content is considered threatening or abusive by Nottingham Chameleons, they may share the information with the appropriate authorities. #
   8. Content
      
      I will not share content or post links that would break copyright. E.g.: do not post links to pirated music, books, or film. However, posting to source material from newspapers, academic journals, legal streaming services, etc is acceptable. #
   9. Relations
      
      I will not use the forum to approach other members for sexual relations or to advertise, encourage or promote such behaviour with others. #
   10. Moderation
       
       If there is a disagreement around the content of a post, I understand I may discuss this with the forum moderators and that I will abide by their decision.
       
       I understand I may report a post using the REPORT button if I feel the content is unsuitable and/or violates the forum rules.
       
       I may also contact Nottingham Chameleons via the contact form on the main web site for general queries. #
   11. Reporting
       
       I understand that if a message posted by me is considered to be illegal, threatening or abusive by Nottingham Chameleons, they may share the information with the police or other appropriate authorities.
       
       I understand that if a formal and serious complaint was raised around the use of my account, Nottingham Chameleons reserve the right to reset my forum account’s password to investigate the contents of my posts and/or personal messages #
